Howay6000N

Howay6000N

Overview

Howay6000N Wireless Controller is a cutting-edge product designed for industry users, featuring a state-of-the-art multi-core processor architecture. It provides robust data processing capabilities and extensive business expansion options. Notable for its high processing performance and rich feature set, the Howay6000N Wireless Controller operates in conjunction with AP devices, forming a centralized management architecture for wireless network systems. All APs are centrally managed, controlled, and configured by the wireless controller, ensuring plug-and-play zero-configuration for APs.

This integrated wireless network system built on the Howay6000N outperforms standalone FAT APs, integrating more QoS, security, and roaming features. This significantly enhances the overall service quality of the wireless network, ensuring a more reliable and stable environment for multiple business applications. Leveraging cluster-based intelligent management technology, the Howay6000N continuously monitors and controls the RF environment of each AP in real-time. This enables automatic adjustment of AP channels and implements load balancing strategies based on user count or traffic, minimizing interference and ensuring a balanced and stable wireless network load capacity.

Intelligent Radio Frequency Management

The wireless controller provides automatic channel adjustment functionality internally. It optimizes radio frequency coverage through proprietary RF detection and management algorithms. In the event of strong external signal interference affecting AP signals, the controller controls the AP to automatically switch to an appropriate operational channel to avoid interference signals, ensuring smooth WLAN communication.

Additionally, it supports the detection and counteraction of illegal APs. For phishing or counterfeit APs, it quickly identifies them and utilizes monitoring and counteraction features to neutralize these attacks, preventing users from connecting to these compromised APs and avoiding potential losses.

Thin AP Independent Working Mode

Howay6000N wireless devices, in thin AP mode, will automatically switch to independent operation if communication between the AP and AC is interrupted. This ensures the continuous normal operation of the existing user network and allows for the authentication of new users. Once communication is restored, the AP will automatically re-register with the AC, ensuring a seamless process for users without their awareness.

Seamless Roaming Across the Network

Howay6000N, based on fast roaming technology, achieves seamless roaming between APs with zero packet loss. The roaming time is controlled within 50ms, and the IP address remains unchanged during the roaming process. No re-authentication is required, making it suitable for uninterrupted real-time mobile services in industries such as healthcare and transportation.

Centralized and Distributed Data Forwarding Architecture

Based on the leading-edge data communication technology, the AC (wireless controller) can flexibly decide whether wireless terminal data should be locally transmitted or centrally forwarded. The AC determines, based on the network’s SSID and user VLAN planning, whether users’ network access data needs to be centralized at the AC for unified control forwarding or directly sent to the wired network for local exchange. The advantage of local data forwarding lies in categorizing data that is sensitive to latency and demands high real-time transmission through the wired network. Especially in scenarios with heavy traffic loads in 802.11n, this significantly alleviates the AC’s data burden.

Secure User Data Encryption

It supports a comprehensive data security mechanism, capable of employing WEP, TKIP, and AES encryption technologies, ensuring the secure transmission of data across the wireless network.

Operational Wireless User Access Control and Management

Network administrators can partition VLANs based on users and SSIDs according to their needs. Each VLAN can support different security policies, authentication methods, encryption, ACL rules, bandwidth control, and more.

Regarding pre-authentication website access, like corporate or promotional sites, users can be restricted to specific URLs or prevented from accessing certain URLs, not just limited by IP. This prevents scenarios where one URL corresponds to multiple IPs.

These control strategies support time-based policies, allowing for daily, weekly, and monthly cyclic time control strategies.

Intelligent Load Balancing Technology

When an AP’s load reaches a set threshold, the AC will, based on specific intelligent control policies, automatically direct newly connected users to nearby APs with lower loads. Similarly, through AC control, users from APs with higher traffic can be balanced onto APs with lower loads, achieving a balanced network environment.

Convenient Installation and Maintenance

With the Howay6000N, FIT APs can achieve plug-and-play functionality. All management, control, and configuration tasks for AP devices are handled entirely by the wireless controller. Network administrators no longer need to manage and maintain a large number of wireless access points. All configurations, firmware upgrades, security policy updates, and related actions can be completed directly through the wireless controller.
